Update 1.1.6b
Hello!
It's been almost 2 weeks since the last update, so it's about time we welcome a new one!
Unfortunately a lot has happened these past few days, a lot of real life issues came about that ate a huge chunk of this and previous week's time but fortunately most of them have been resolved (I hope). I also had to reinstall my windows installation which set me back even more since I had to get back all of my workflow back and running from scratch. So, what's new and exciting?
- Expanding from the previous settings screen following options have been added:
- Ability to change between fullscreen and windowed mode
- You can change the resolution of the game to play at your favorite!
- Additional options for render scaling, if you have any issues with performance, lowering render scaling or resolution might help quite a bit!
- Next on, I managed to update the game to use Unity 2023.1, mostly uneventful migration
- 6 new story entries, picking up right were we left off, expanding Chapter 1 and bringing it closer to completion!
And of course, it's time to welcome yet again, another character to join the playable squad
Oana - beautiful like snow and deadly as ice! Who is she? Where she comes from? That is to be discovered... In the future that is~ She's a very special case, being the only one able to manipulate temperature she wields pare of ice, able to create a field around herself, making it harder for enemies to get to her, if they don't lose their way in the blizzard while trying!
With her appearance, we also introduce a new weapon called "Ice Age", sending waves of frosty spikes outwards around her, further increasing her AoE damage potential. This weapon becomes available to use on any character after surviving 15 minutes as Oana.
And that about does it for this update, I tried to squeeze some story and a new character as promised but time was really tight. Good news is that I did some initial testing on mobile and they came out quite positive so we may be looking at an Android release somewhere down the line. Of course my no microtransactions policy will remain unchanged even on mobile! Also with addition of Oana we are getting closer to having all of the character I designed early on available, I still hesitate when adding characters that will appear in the story way later down the line due to spoilers, but it's something I couldn't avoid even if I tried. Regardless, I try to keep informations about them to minimum until they officially show up in new chapters. In a meantime, feel free to try piecing things together.
